Ember Genesis II

Ember Genesis II is a one-of-a-kind reclaimed sculptural vessel transformed through layers of deeply worked texture, warm copper-red color, aged gold detailing, and an unexpected cobalt-blue interior.

The weathered exterior carries rhythmic channels of glowing red and copper tones through rough, mineral-like fields of bronze, brown, and gold. Irregular textures and shifting metallic highlights give the surface a sense of age and discovery, as though the vessel has developed a history beyond its original form.

From above, however, the character changes completely. A vivid cobalt-blue interior emerges against the warm exterior, creating an unexpected contrast and inviting a closer look.

Created as the companion to Ember Genesis I, this smaller work continues an evolving idea within James Reclaims IT Studios: reclamation is not simply about restoring something to what it once was. Through color, texture, experimentation, and transformation, an overlooked object can emerge with an entirely new identity.
